We had a good experience buying a used vehicle here. They were very accommodating about meeting us at time that worked as we were coming from out of town at the last minute. And I appreciate they were willing negotiate prices with us bringing a trade in. We had just been to a dealer in Brooks that wouldn't even consider moving numbers around. Would recommend to others!
First, I was from far out of town so I needed to make the deal before accessories could be put on. We left my trade in deal open ended and estimated my 2017 GMC 1500 would have 50000 km on it when it arrived. It arrived with 47000 with no dents/scratches or defects whatsoever. When I asked about negotiating the trade coming in with less KM the answer was no. They stuck to a low offer that they provided before seeing the vehicle. I was told the offer was conservative before making the deal and that it would likely go up a little. I was feeling like this might happen before making the deal and I accept it. A deal was made to have 3M clear bra protection on the chrome mirror caps and grill at the dealers expense but when I drove it home and looked closer this was not done. When I asked BJ Olynyk (sales person) why this wasn't done he said it's because the 3M doesn't stick to the chrome and that was the end of the conversation. We had a deal made and he went back on it. Again, no compensation. It's funny that 3M makes a kit just for the grille of a 2017-19 chevy silverado 2500...I had 3M put underneath my fender flares I had installed by Murray but it looks terrible. There are bubbles and it was shaped/cut poorly. It shows up easily. I recently took off the fender flares at home to apply undercoat and that is what drove me to write this review. They drilled so many holes my fenders look like Swiss cheese from underneath. They must not have lined it up well the first 2 attempts during installation. Now it's more prone to rust but on the front driver's side panel they drilled a hole almost completely through the side. It is bulged out and missing paint. I cannot take off my fender flares if I wanted to because of the damage. Putting it back together was a pain for 2 of the flares because the screws were drilled in cockeyed. I will never recommend Medicine Hat Murray Chevrolet to anyone. In fact, anyone that asks about my truck will be told just how terrible they are and I have pictures to share. Murray takes no pride in their work and will cover up damages poorly without the decency to tell you they made a mistake. They treated a $90,000 Duramax like it was worth $90. To be fair, they were plesent to talk to. They gave me a coffee mug and Tim's gift CARD which was nice. The finance manager Bryan Kichting was very good at explaining the details and I enjoyed dealing with him.
Really quick and easy to deal with, my car was in for an oil change and I was in and out within 45 minutes. I wish the dealership near my house was this quick! The coffee in the waiting area is pretty good too.
