We stopped here passing through to Calgary from Regina. The owner was super nice and friendly. We didn't have a menu to go by and he helped us order a vegetarian dish. We got the #32 and some rice paper spring rolls. It was really delicious! We would definitely come back. I also noticed it was next to Nutters Health Food Store. Super Bonus. We got Spring Rolls Entree and a side of rice all for $21. It curbed our appetite for a family of 3. The restrooms were super nice and clean and made our stop even better.
This is the worst Vietnamese food I have had in my life, and I have eaten in many Vietnamese restaurants. The first disappointment was the tiny salad rolls (half the size of standard salad rolls) and runny, almost tasteless peanut sauce. The second disappointment was the size of my main dish: pork chop/fried egg on rice. Again it was half the size of a standard Vietnamese portion. It tasted ok, but again, lacked flavor. This restuarant has definitely cheaped out and it was VERY disappointing, especially from being out-of-town. I would never go here again (except for the wind up teeth toys that come in the toonie machine ;)
Great food, talented waitstaff. Incredibly kind, they changed out my grandmother's meal without issue when she got the wrong meat on accident. The food is quite flavourful, and I loved the visit.
Large tasty portions of the best Vietnamese dishes. Friendly service and clean eating area. Also the bathrooms are clean unlike most establishments
Cozy family atmosphere. If you get the vermicelli I recommend the beef over the chicken. I'm told (second hand) that the beef broth is excellent, but I only ever order vermicelli
