Myself and my sister's family stayed here while we were visiting extended family. Room 216. It had two beds. There was an air conditioner in the room. Large bathroom for a hotel. There was complimentary hot breakfast, it was only so so good. The food is kind of what you usually would find at a hotel. Overall it was a positive stay.
Great service best included breakfast buffet I have ever had in a small hotel. Free bike rentals! I'm going to go back to tour around all the great paths that Medicine Hat has to offer!
Our experience here was amazing. Extreamly friendly service with good rooms and great food. The connected restaurant has delicious food and it was all cooked to perfection. I have no complaints whatsoever and everything was great.
We have stayed here several times. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. I highly recommend staying here.
I will not stay here if I have a choice or recommend the location any further as I have in the past. We even planned a family gathering here a few years back. Now whyLast night we booked a room online for here. While I was looking for a room to book, I passed over an alternate hotel because it only had a double room available as opposed to a two queen room which the Clarion had 2 of according to there booking system. When I arrived there was a staff member of either the hotel or on site restaurant smoking on the couch directly under a posted no smoking sign, so our entry to the hotel was unpleasantly scented with smoke.We then checked in with what seemed to be seamless process and headed to our room. Once we got to the room we were greeted with a 2 double bed room...not what I booked, so I called down to indicate the error and was told the only 2 queen room available was a pet room that smelled like pee, so I had no choice. This was unacceptable to me so I returned to their booking website to be surprised that they had a family suite with an occupancy of 5 (a king bed and a double bed and a single bed)perfect I thought and went downstairs to switch to that room. I indicated that I felt the communication shouldve been more upfront and that its kind of a slap in the face for a customer to receive a downgrade rather than an upgrade to an issue that the hotel has, without apology or even knowing about it until you land in a room! She(front desk staff) altered the room but not before rolling her eyes and using body language that said she didnt really care. So once again we headed off to our new room thinking that the issue has been solved. And we walk into the room to find one single king bed for a party of 3?? At this point Im done, I head to the front desk to return the keys and let her know we are not buying tonight and there better be no charges as they did not meet or have what I ordered. As well as Im told the room I wanted after the error doesnt exist.And off to the Holiday Inn Express we go where I might say we got excellent above and beyond service! From this point on well take our business to alternate establishment that cares to want the the booking and the referrals. If I could add pictures I would of the so called room they dont have but still clearly posted with a rate for the hotel!
