Love this campground. We camp here for a week every year. However, you will be lucky if other campers obey the quiet time rule. We have loud, shrill laughter and screaming kids well after quiet time. Staff are long gone by 10:00 so there is no one to remind the noisy party that they are not alone in the campground and should consider others and obey the rules. Not peaceful and relaxing at all.
This is a great campsite. I was pleasantly surprised by the well taken care of grounds, friendly staff and amenities. It is pretty busy....when one camper leaves, another moves right on in. Lots of trees and a good bike/walking path. Pet friendly too. The park staff dont bother you at all. Showers in every loop so never busy.WiFi only works close to admin building though. I had planned on using it during my week stay to work but had to increase data on my cell plan instead. But we will return for any summer activities in Medicine Hat - much better than a hotel!
Close to everything. Well maintained. Nice lots with level gravel pads and well kept lawn. Lots of shower facilities. Nice and clean. FreeI did find the shower pressure is lacking and the water didnt get hot enough for me. I would have liked a shelf in the shower for putting my shampoo and soap on instead of on the floor.Be sure to check out the carvings throughout the campground
Very spacious sites, clean and lots of shade and green grass. Washrooms close by to sites and plenty of them strategically placed throughout the grounds. The showers were ok but the water pressure in the showers was pretty low and it would be nice to have a bench inside the stall to put stuff on. Besides that, we really enjoyed our visit.
August 2018Second time at Gas City. The hosts are still really nice. The new laundry room is nice and even at $3 to wash and $3 to dry everything was clean and dry without having to pay for extra drying time. My only complaint is that they really need to update the washrooms over by the sites from 15 to 21. The shower pressure is very low and there's no where to hang up your towels or a small shelf in the shower stall to put your soap and shampoo. I'm sure we will be back next year. Happy camping everyone Read some of the other reviews. We found Gas City campground peaceful, the RV sites are a nice size, firepit is a little close to your RV, but overall it was good. Bathrooms were clean, and had 2 nice sized shower stalls, at no extra cost. I also read that some of the other people who did reviews were commenting about rude staff, maybe these people were rude to the staff first. As for tics, treat your pets before you go camping. There's no guarantee that there are no bugs, of any kind. Unless of course you live in a bubble. I know we will camp here again.
